Career Fellowship Retreat at Pemberton!

The Doulos Fellowship at VCMBC would like to invite you to our annual fellowship retreat!

Date: June 15, Friday to June 17, Sunday (Two departure choices: either 12:30pm or 6:30pm on June 15)
Location: Copperdome Lodge, 8751 Pemberton Meadows Road in Pemberton
Camp Fee: $180
Registration Deadline: ASAP

The theme of the retreat is focused on how we are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God... sounds familiar? This verse, 1 Peter 2:9, was the theme of last year's summer camp. Doulos wants to take this theme and carry it further to reflect on how we are a group chosen by God to be His sons and daughters, and also chosen by God to serve and be in spiritual community with each other!

Consequently, you are no longer foreigners and strangers, but fellow citizens with God's people and also members of his household, 20 built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the chief cornerstone. In him the whole building is joined together and rises to become a holy temple in the Lord. 22 And in him you too are being built together to become a dwelling in which God lives by his Spirit. (Ephesians 2:19-22)

The retreat will include a lot of time on reflections, prayer, and workshops to help us further our relationship with God and with each other. It will include cooking with one another and outdoor activities. Unlike the joint camps with the high school and university group, Doulos retreats are focused on retreating from our every day busy-ness, rest and reflect on God, and to be spiritually refreshed as we return to our daily lives.

We hope you can join us!

PS: The retreat fee is currently budgeted for 15 members. Therefore, the more members we have going, the less each member will have to pay! Please invite as many of your friends as possible!
